Happy Soul Care Sunday. Today was truly a beautifu Happy Soul Care Sunday. Today was truly a beautiful day at Lake Junaluska for our social distance and safe soul care retreat. It made me realize how much my soul and others need this time. For just a moment everything seem well, right, centered and calm. It would be easy to allow guilt to shame it's way in the psyche and rob the experience of joy when so many are hurting and desperate for retreat. Oh how I wish I could offer this retreat to the entire world and I am grateful for at least a few hours the heart was able to receive such sweet love and care. I pray for more opportunities to lead groups into contemplative soul care activities, and I am incredibly thankful to have led this one today. Photos are just a few places on the campus that caught my eye. The roses are still in bloom and there are plenty of gardens full of flowers. If you can, go somewhere beautiful, take your journal (and maybe a John O'Donohue book) and just retreat. Your soul will be incredibly thankful. Today I reflect on how some parts of our soul are Today I reflect on how some parts of our soul are open and ready to receive, and some parts are slowly opening and considering the possibility of healing but are not quite there. Neither is wrong or better, each is right where it should be.
